Finn Balor is hoping the recent run with The Judgement Day will lead to a dream one-on-one match with WWE Hall of Famer Edge.

Edge and The Prince have been two key elements to the current storyline arc with The Judgement Day, with Balor’s arrival leading to the Irishman, along with Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest removing the Rated R Superstar from the group.

Since then, Balor and the group have been involved with a feud with Edge and the Mysterios, leading to their tag match at Clash at the Castle that ultimately saw Dominic Mysterio turn on his father and Join Finn in The Judgement Day.

The turn was made even more memorable by Balor’s amusing reaction as he laughed in the face of a stunned Rey and his tag team partner.

Talking to Inside the Ropes, the 40-year-old spoke about the opportunity to work with Edge and was asked about a potential one-on-one meeting with the WWE Hall of Famer in the future.

Oh, I hope so, yeah I hope so. So, like, from a personal standpoint, when Edge reired, I was, you know, disappointed at the fact that you know, that match will never happen. When he returns, you know, Royal Rumble a couple years ago, kind of like that spark was kind of reignited. And now we’re obviously [facing off at Clash at the Castle] I think, tomorrow’s the first time we’ve actually been in the ring together I’m not sure. But we’ve had a couple interactions with run ins and stuff like that. But yeah, hopefully we can get to that singles match with Edge, that’s something that I’m dying for.

Edge has been on a greatest hits run since his return to action in 2020, and has mentioned Finn as a possible opponent at some point in this current WWE comeback.

Dominic’s turn to the dark side was cemented this week on Raw when he officially joined Balor and The Judgement Day as a fourth member of the group.
