England vs Wales is going to be a real corker at the 2022 World Cup.With FIFA's flagship tournament taking place in the middle of a Premier League season for the very first time, you can rest assured that Qatar 2022 will sneak up on you before you know it.As such, the excitement and anticipation will soon be building for the remarkably rare occasion which is two nations of the United Kingdom locking horns with one another on the biggest stage of all.

England vs Wales at the World Cup

Yes, the two countries went to battle at Euro 2016 and yes, England similarly faced Scotland last year, but this is the World Cup we're talking about here: it doesn't get any bigger than that.

Besides, lest we forget that Wales haven't taken to the World Cup stage since the heady days of 1958 when a teenage Pele dumped them out of the quarter-finals.

So, to say that England and Wales being drawn in the same group along with the United States of America and Iran is truly historic would be the mother of all understatements.

And a grand occasion like that requires an introduction of equal grandeur, which - rather unexpectedly - has been provided ahead of time by none other than Mr. Michael Sheen.

Michael Sheen's fire-breathing speech

Yes, that's right, the Welsh actor famous for appearances in films such as The Queen, Alice In Wonderland and Passengers, as well as The Twilight Saga, gave a truly extraordinary speech ahead of the big game on November 29.

That's because, according to Wales Online, Sheen was a panelist on Sky's latest episode of 'A League of Their Own' that was broadcast on Thursday night in which host Romesh Ranganathan asked him to perform a rendition of what his pre-match speech for the game would be like.

And being the accomplished actor that he is, Sheen truly dug dig to perform a remarkable speech exuding the very fire-breathing passion of the Welsh dragon itself.

In stunning footage which has amassed thousands of retweets on social media, the 53-year-old roared: "Yma o hyd, yma o hyd, I hear the voices singing, bois bach.

"One nation, singing with one voice. A song of hope, a song of courage, a victory song that floats through the valleys, like a red mist, rolls over the mountain tops, like crimson thunder.

"Ared storm is coming to the gates of Qatar. It crackles, with the spirit of '58 and Jimmy Murphy's boys, it turns the pages of the history books and finds Rob's page, waiting, still to be written.

"What would you right in there, boys? Dare you write your names on that page? We haven't waited 64 years and come half way around the world to be troubled by a neighbour from back home.

"When the English coming knock on our door, let's give them some sugar, boys, let's give them some Welsh sugar.

"They've always said we are too small, we are too slow, we are too weak, too full of fear, but yma o hyd, you sons of Speed, and they fall around us. We are still here."

Serious inspiration for Wales

Suddenly I've got a red dragon tattooed on my right bicep and I've booked a one-way flight to Doha with only a banner of Gareth Bale's face declared as luggage... how has this happened?!

In all seriousness, for Sheen to freestyle that spine-tingling speech out of nowhere is not only an impressive display of his improvisation skills, but also of his unerring love for his nation.

Let's just say that Rob Page could do a lot, lot worse than playing Sheen's speech to his boys when they nervously sit in their Ahmad bin Ali Stadium dressing room on November 29 ready to go to war with England.
