UFC 279 saw Nate Diaz make an epic last stand against Tony Ferguson in the main event at the top of a stacked card - here are all the fights and results from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The Stockton fan favourite was in action for the first time in more than 12 months since his unanimous decision defeat to Leon Edwards at UFC 263.

Former interim UFC lightweight champion Ferguson also gave a good account of himself as the pair put on a show for the fans.

But in the end the night belonged to Diaz who locked in a tight guillotine choke which forced him to tap out in the fourth round.

Diaz was initially scheduled to face Khamzat Chimaev but their meeting ended up being scrapped after the Russian came in 7.5lbs heavier over the welterweight limit.

He said in the octagon afterwards: "I'm just here to get my job done. I had one fight left on my contract. At least I got to fight a real OG of mixed martial arts."

After the fight he said: "I'm the most dangerous guy here. I'm coming for everybody.

"I'll kill everyone. I don't care about that s***. I want to fight both those guys here."
