WWE has some big plans in store for Dominik Mysterio following his surprise heel turn at Clash at the Castle.

In what was a rather surprising turn, Dominik attacked Edge and his father Rey Mysterio at Clash at the Castle in Cardiff on September 3.

Two nights later, Dominik was revealed to be the newest member of Judgement Day after weeks of beating attacked by Rhea Ripley.

What is WWE planning for Dominik Mysterio?

Right now, WWE is playing up the story that despite being attacked by Dominik, Rey Mysterio cannot bring himself to fight his son.

While the match will inevitably happen, it seems like Head of Creative Triple H is going to take some time to get there, meaning he'll have to come up with inventive ways to keep the storyline going.

It seems like we're seeing how 'The Game' intends on doing that, as PWInsider is reporting that Dominik and Rey were spotted in Ashville, where Edge lives, last week on September 3.

The belief is that the trio were filming content at Edge's home, which would give their feud a more personal feel as that match continues to be built up.

Rey and Dominik Mysterio were both spotted in Asheville, NC yesterday, which is where Edge lives.  One has to think they might have been filming something there for the Edge & Rey vs. Dominik storyline.

How will Dominik Mysterio be booked by WWE in the immediate future?

Tonight on Raw, Dominik will go one-on-one with Edge in what will be arguably his biggest singles match since his debut at SummerSlam 2020 against Seth Rollins.

Some have even speculated, given that he's just turned heel, that WWE may have Dominik beat the Hall of Famer, which would definitely be the biggest win of his two-year career thus far.

While Dominik has done nothing wrong since debuting for WWE two years ago, fans are looking to see the 25-year-old take some steps forward and really kick on now that he's got more experience under his belt.

The belief amongst many is that Dominik's heel turn will enable him to take the next step and become the top star that he has the potential to become over the next few months and years.

You can watch Dominik v Edge, and the rest of the action on tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw, live in the US tonight on the USA Network and over here in the UK on BT Sport.
