Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua is gearing up to be one of the biggest British boxing bouts of all time, ‘generational’ doesn’t do it justice.

Although it could have been an undisputed bout a few years back had Deontay Wilder accepted step aside money, it is still going to be an absolute classic, regardless of belts, it is the best of the best in England competing.

The Gypsy King offered Joshua the fight following his crushing defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, giving his fellow countryman a shot at his WBC title, putting Fury’s potential undisputed clash with the Ukrainian at risk.

Betfair releases fight odds

Betfair have Fury down as a clear favourite in the fight, which is no surprise given he has a near perfect record in the sport, winning every single bout he’s taken on bar one draw.

On the other hand, Joshua has been really struggling, losing three of his last four fights, looking far from convincing in all of them.

The odds for the fight according to Betfair as things stand are:

Tyson Fury: 1/4

Anthony Joshua: 11/4

Draw: 20/1

Now that really is damning for Joshua, they clearly see Fury as a massive favourite, but you can’t blame them given what we’ve seen from the two fighters in recent years.

Where will the fight be held?

Fury said if he was to fight Joshua it would have to be for free in the UK, although that clearly isn’t happening, with the fight purse split agreed upon already.

However, it looks likely to be in England, with the odds suggesting anywhere outside of the UK is increasingly unlikely to happen.

The full odds for the fight location from Betfair are:

London, England: 2/1

Cardiff, Wales: 5/2

Manchester, England: 5/1

Las Vegas, USA: 12/1

New York, USA: 14/1

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia: 20/1

Riyadh, Saudi Arabai: 25/1

So it looks like one of the fighters will have a bigger home advantage than the other, with the favourite location giving AJ a home crowd and the third favourite seeing The Gypsy King have his hometown backing him.

Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: “Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury will finally put on the fight that boxing fans have been waiting years for. The current WBC title holder, Fury, is 1/4 favourite going into this fight against Joshua, who is in the unfamiliar position as a huge underdog at 11/4.

“London is the 2/1 favourite to host the bout, while Cardiff is next at 5/2, Manchester 5/1, while a trip to Saudi Arabia in Jeddah is 20/1 and Riyadh 25/1.”
