The Premier League is now in its eighth game week for the 22/23 season, so here we have our predictions for how we think the fixtures will play out.
Last week the entirety of the United Kingdom was saddened by the news of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, which resulted in every single Premier League fixture in game week 7 being postponed until further notice.
Steven Gerrard‘s side take on the youthful Southampton in one of the Friday night fixtures. This one is tough to call, so we’ll go for a draw.
Prediction: Aston Villa 1 – 1 Southampton
Nottingham Forest vs Fulham
A battle of the newly promoted sides. Fulham have looked sharp thus far and we think they’ll win this one.
Prediction: Nottingham Forest 1 – 2 Fulham
Wolves vs Manchester City
A game where we could see Diego Costa‘s return to the Premier League. But let’s be honest, there should only be one clear winner here.
Prediction: Wolves 1 – 3 Manchester City
Newcastle vs Bournemouth
Eddie Howe faces his former club in this tie. Newcastle look sharp this campaign and we can see them putting a few past Bournemouth.
Prediction: Newcastle 3 – 0 Bournemouth
Tottenham vs Leicester
Leicester City are in serious trouble. They currently sit bottom of the league and things could certainly get worse against Spurs. How long will Brendan Rodgers last in charge?
Prediction: Tottenham 2 – 0 Leicester
Brentford vs Arsenal
This should be one of the fixtures of the weekend, with both sides having excellent starts to their seasons. Brentford at home look like a force and we believe they’ll nick something against the Gunners.
Prediction: Brentford 1 – 1 Arsenal
Everton vs West Ham
Finally, the Toffee’s take on the Hammer’s in a game where both sides are desperate for some points. However – we predict David Moyes will come out on top.
Prediction: Everton 1 – 2 West Ham
