Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag believes Marcus Rashford can come on "leaps and bounds" under him, says journalist Dean Jones.

The English forward has impressed at Old Trafford following the arrival of his new boss, who thinks he has a big future at the club, according to Jones.

How good has Rashford been this season?

It is probably fair to say that Rashford has looked rejuvenated under Ten Hag.

In the last campaign, the 24-year-old had his struggles, with both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick unable to get the best out of him.

In total, Rashford scored just five goals in 32 appearances in what was a disappointing campaign for United overall.

However, this term, the England international has already found the back of the net three times after just six games.

What has Jones said about Rashford, Ten Hag and United?

Jones has told GIVEMESPORT that Ten Hag is confident that he can help Rashford to become an even better player.

Speaking to GMS, the journalist said: "From Ten Hag's point of view, he's one of the few players that he believes can come on leaps and bounds under him. He thinks he's already improved since he got to the club and he thinks that he's still got a big future at United."

Were United right not to sell Rashford during the summer transfer window?

Back in March, The Guardian reported that Rashford was considering his future at Old Trafford after that difficult period under Rangnick.

Following that, when the transfer window was open, ESPN claimed that Paris Saint-Germain were in talks with the player over a summer move.

In the end, though, United obviously did not sanction anything, which was undoubtedly the right call. Rashford has reminded everyone in this early part of the season what he can bring to the table after dispatching against two of the Premier League's top teams in Arsenal and Liverpool.

Ten Hag also seems to be a big fan of the England star, recently hailing him for his display in United's win over Mikel Arteta's side.

"He was brilliant," the former Ajax manager told United's official club website after the game. "It was a really great performance from him. As a striker, he was pressing. But also, when we played it over him and he was the target, he made the right decisions."

If Rashford can maintain the form that he is in, then United could be in for a good season.
