Mohamed Salah hasn’t enjoyed his best start to a season since joining Liverpool but that isn’t down to a lack of effort on the Egyptian forward’s part.Salah scored his fourth goal of the campaign, on his ninth appearance this season, against Ajax in the Champions League on Tuesday night. The 30-year-old opened the scoring for Liverpool in the 17th minute, steering the ball past Ajax goalkeeper Remko Pasveer after receiving Diogo Jota’s pass.Mohammed Kudus produced an excellent finish to level the scores 10 minutes later, but Liverpool eventually secured all three points thanks to Joel Matip’s dramatic late winner.Klopp cut a delighted and relieved figure at the full-time whistle. It’s been a tough start to the season for last season’s Champions League finalists, who were thrashed 4-1 by Napoli last week.Liverpool boss Jurgen KloppNAPLES, ITALY - SEPTEMBER 07: Jurgen Klopp Liverpool FC coach during the UEFA Champions League group A match between SSC Napoli and Liverpool FC at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on September 07, 2022 in Naples, Italy. Nobody can watch that footage and claim that Salah’s hunger and desire has decreased since signing his contract extension.

That’s frightening pace and full marks to him for somehow getting from one end of the pitch to the other in the blink of an eye.

Just as remarkable is the fact Salah was down the opposite end of the pitch just 15 seconds later.

Let’s check out some of the best reaction to the footage:

When do Liverpool play next?

Liverpool’s Premier League clash against Graham Potter’s Chelsea was due to take place on Sunday afternoon but has been postponed following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

The Reds’ next fixture will be against Brighton on October 1.

Buy a Klopp t-shirt.

And Salah, winner of the Premier League’s Golden Boot award in 2017-18, 2018-19 (shared) and 2021-22 (shared), will be determined to add more goals to his league tally.

The Egypt International has scored two league goals this term, eight fewer than the Premier League’s current leading scorer, Erling Haaland.
