Young tennis stars like US Open champions Iga Swiatek and Carlos Alcaraz are carrying the torch for a new generation of superstars on the court.

GiveMeSport recently ranked the top seven talents aged 21 and younger as we enter a fresh era for the sport.

Now, we are predicting how many Grand Slams each name on the list will win during their career.

After Serena Williams decided it was time to step away from tennis, the 23-time major champion made way for a new chapter in the women's game.

That being said, Williams' astonishing career was more of a spectacle to be admired, as opposed to an achievement to try and beat. It's unlikely we will see domination of this nature again, and the same goes for the men's 'Big Three'.

Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer have been battling it out for years to become the leading Grand Slam title holder of the Open Era. Between them, they have 63 major titles and are way ahead of any other player currently on the ATP Tour.

Retirement rumours continue to swirl around Federer but while Djokovic and Nadal are still around, it will be a tough ask for new generation talents to go on and win several Grand Slams. But there are plenty of exciting young players pushing to challenge those right at the top.

Here are our Grand Slam title predictions for each of our previously ranked top young players. These estimates are based on each individual's form over the last 12 months.

Holger Rune (19 years old) — 1-2 Grand Slams

Rune won his first ATP title earlier this year when he won the Bavarian International without dropping a single set.

As a result, he reached a career high of 27th in the world but has since slipped down to 31st.

The Dane also recorded his best Grand Slam finish this year by reaching the quarter-finals of the French Open.

While Rune certainly has the promise to establish a Grand Slam pedigree, he is yet to make it beyond the quarter-finals of a major tournament and has beaten a top 10 player on just two occasions in 2022.

Leylah Fernandez (20 years old) — 1-2 Grand Slams

Fernandez stepped into the spotlight at the 2021 US Open, where she beat well-established players including Naomi Osaka and Angelique Kerber to reach the final.

Since losing to Emma Raducanu, the Canadian has won the Monterrey Open and reached the French Open quarter-finals.

However, Fernandez has had limited matches against top ranked players in 2022, with world number 12 Belinda Bencic being the highest ranked opponent she has beaten this year.

She met with Iga Swiatek in the second round of the Adelaide International but was no match for the world number one, who breezed to a 6-1, 6-2 win.

Jannik Sinner (21 years old) — 2-3 Grand Slams

Sinner is a very exciting talent who definitely has the capability to win a handful of major titles during his career.

This year, the Italian reached the quarter-final of three Grand Slams after strong performances at the Australian Open, Wimbledon and the US Open.

Sinner already has six ATP titles to his name and has beaten the likes of Alcaraz, Daniel Medvedev and Andy Murray this year.

The 21-year-old looks up for the challenge to bank his first Grand Slam but how many he wins during his career may depend on how long the reign of Djokovic and Nadal continues.

Emma Raducanu (19 years old) — 2-3 Grand Slams

Raducanu became the new poster girl for British tennis after her fairytale US Open title win last year. However, since her first Grand Slam title, she has struggled to recreate her history-making form.

The British number one failed to retain her crown at Flushing Meadows this year after she was knocked out in the first round. This loss continued the narrative of what has been a difficult 2022.

Raducanu has suffered several injuries and has failed to make it beyond the quarter-finals of any tournament. She has also dropped dramatically down the WTA rankings and now sits as 83rd in the world.

However, she remains one of the most talented young players on the scene right now and still has the capability to win some more Grand Slams in her career.

Coco Gauff (18 years old) — 4-5 Grand Slams

Gauff burst into the spotlight when she was just 17 years of age and has since won two singles titles and five in doubles.

As well as striking up a solid partnership with doubles partner Jessica Pegula, the US star recorded her best Grand Slam finish this year by reaching the final at Roland-Garros.

In 2022, Gauff has beaten the likes of Paula Badosa, Kerber, and Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina. She has met with Swiatek twice this year, including in the French Open final.

Based on the fact she is the youngest on this list and is already challenging in Grand Slam finals, the world number eight could be headed for a decorated career.

Carlos Alcaraz (19 years old) — 9-10 Grand Slams

After winning the US Open, Alcaraz became the world number one for the first time in his career. He is the first teenager in history to top the ATP rankings.

His first major title win made him the youngest men’s Grand Slam champion since Nadal triumphed at the French Open in 2005.

Alcaraz made history at the Madrid Open by becoming the first player to beat Nadal and Djokovic back-to-back on clay. He was also the first teenager to beat compatriot Nadal on his favoured surface.

The way his career is rapidly rising, the Spaniard could be in for a very handsome return of Grand Slam titles.

Iga Swiatek (21 years old) — 10-12 Grand Slams

At this moment in time, Swiatek looks unstoppable.

Sitting way out in front as world number one with more than 5000 points more than Ons Jabeur, the 21-year-old is in a superb position in her career already.

This year, Swiatek has won the French Open and US Open, as well as titles in Qatar, Indian Wells, Miami, Stuttgart and Rome.

She went on an impressive run of 37 matches unbeaten and won six consecutive tournaments.

Swiatek is undoubtedly the best player on the WTA Tour by a long way right now and while she may not match the legendary tally of Williams' 23 Grand Slams, she is certainly in for a very successful career.
