Cyberpunk 2077: New features added to coincide with Edgerunners anime

Cyberpunk 2077 Secret

Cyberpunk 2077 has added a variety of new features to coincide with the release of the anime based on the game, titled Edgerunners.

The anime has been released on Netflix and is already a remarkably successful release, with the reviews positively glowing.

Indeed, IGN has given the anime a 9/10 score in their review, while ComicBook.com called it “one of this year’s strongest anime”.

It should be little surprise, then, that developers CD Projekt Red have made sure to add plenty of new items into the game to mark the release of the spin-off.

Most of the items came with the 1.6 patch, which was titled Edgerunners, and brings with it a number of fresh items.

Take a look at the items and quests added to the game below!

Of course, there are naturally some bug fixes coming to Cyberpunk 2077.

Many players will remember the debacle of a launch, that saw Night City absolutely riddled with glitches and issues.

However, the game has consistently received updates that have brought further stability to Cyberpunk, and they are now in a position to add items into the game.

The following items have been added following the release of Edgerunners, along with new gigs on offer from fixers within the game.

  • Concrete Cage Trap gig
  • Desperate Measures gig
  • Nasty Hangover gig

Six new guns have been added, too, to help players blast their way through their gigs and their quests, along with five melee weapons.

They are as follows.

  • Kappa
  • Senkoh LX
  • VST-37
  • MA70 HB
  • Kyubi
  • Hypercritical Iconic Precision Rifle (reward for completing Concrete Cage Trap)
  • Neurotoxin Knife
  • Punknife
  • Claw
  • Razor
  • Cut-o-Matic

CD Projekt Red has confirmed that there are “secrets related to the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime series to be discovered in Night City, including new equipment and new Photo Mode features.”

One of those additions appears to be a jacket that players can wear, as well as the addition of Nibbles, a furless cat that can be found in the apartment, provided you’ve petted it earlier in the game.

Go into photo mode and you can make him pose for you, which is always fun!
