Game Week 8 Fixtures

Mykolenko of Everton and Declan Rice of West Ham

Here are the next round of fixtures that are taking place in Game Week 8 in the Premier League, which were gathered from the official Premier League website. A few fixtures have been postponed, but here are the ones that remain.

Friday 16th September 2022

  • Aston Villa vs Southampton: 8:00 pm
  • Nottingham Forest vs Fulham: 8:00 pm

Saturday 17th September 2022

  • Wolves vs Manchester City: 12:30 pm
  • Newcastle vs Bournemouth: 3:00 pm
  • Tottenham vs Leicester: 5:30 pm

Sunday 18th September 2022

  • Brentford vs Arsenal: 12:00 pm
  • Everton vs West Ham: 2:15 pm

The first thing to note is to make sure your team is done by Friday at 18:30 BST at the very latest. If you miss this, you could be missing out on valuable points.

Due to the number of games that have been postponed, we’d highly suggest if you have too many players from any of the clubs that aren’t partaking in GW8 to use a wildcard.

We’d suggest the ‘free hit’, which allows you to make unlimited free transfers this week, but then your squad returns to normal after the game week.

We’d suggest looking at stacking up with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City players, as they could accumulate a ton of points.

Our top picks for FPL Game Week 8

With fewer options than usual, there are some dead-set picks for Game Week 8 in Fantasy Premier League 22/23.

Kieran Trippier

  • Position: Defender
  • Club: Newcastle United
  • Price: £5.3 Million
  • GW8 Opponent: Bournemouth (H)

Kieran Trippier is a fantastic shout for GW8. Newcastle look fired up under Eddie Howe this season and they take on a struggling Bournemouth side at St James Park. Trippier takes a variety of set pieces, so could be amongst the goals – not to mention the prospect of clean sheet bonus points.

Harry Kane

  • Position: Forward
  • Club: Tottenham Hotspur
  • Price: £11.4 Million
  • GW8 Opponent: Leicester (H)

An expensive option, but a worthwhile investment. Harry Kane has really found his form so far for Spurs and appears to be the main source of goals in their mass of attacking talent. They take on bottom of the league Leicester, so there are goals to be had.

Nick Pope

  • Position: Goalkeeper
  • Club: Newcastle United
  • Price: £5.1 Million
  • GW8 Opponent: Bournemouth (H)

Probably the most in-form goalkeeper in the Premier League at this moment in time, Nick Pope has been one of the signings of the summer. Similar to Trippier, he is in contention for another clean sheet against Bournemouth. At £5.1 million he’s an excellent acquisition.
