Liverpool got back to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Ajax in the Champions League last night.

It was a much-needed win for the Reds, who had been struggling for form throughout the 2022/23 football season so far.

And after suffering an embarrassing 4-1 defeat at the hands of Napoli in their opening group game, anything other than three points simply wouldn't have been good enough.

Fortunately, the return of their star midfielder Thiago coincided with a much-improved team performance that was narrowly enough to secure the side victory on the night.

Even if it did take an 89th minute Joel Matip header to seal the deal.

Nevertheless, Thiago was masterful in his play, as shown in this mesmeric highlight package that we covered amid the fallout from the encounter.

With the Spaniard consistently putting in performances of such an impressive calibre, it's no wonder Kopites adore him and laud him as one of their most influential assets.

And hopefully, with his presence back gracing the midfield once again, Jurgen Klopp's team can restore their usual rhythm that's undoubtedly been lacking in recent weeks.

But for all his performance did to reignite the footballing flame in Liverpool fan's hearts, there was another interesting moment which has caught the eye of fans on Twitter.

Titled: 'Thiago telling Liverpool fans they were being out sang by the away end,' the video has amassed 1,364 retweets and over 20,000 likes.

The footage appears to show Thiago wandering behind the away team goal as he makes his way back to the dugout after being subbed off.

Upon walking past a section of the home support, the Spaniard can be seen raising his arms as if gesturing for the Liverpool fans to sing up.

He then points to his ear and then out onto the pitch, insinuating that the team can't hear the backing of the home fans.

It certainly seems like Thiago was asking for that bit more from the Anfield crowd, whether he was insinuating they were actually be drowned out by the Ajax end is difficult to tell.

However, in a stadium so famous for its iconic atmosphere - especially on big European nights - you can't help but feel like Thiago shouldn't need to be rousing the crowd with the team chasing an important victory.
