Pablo 'Gavi' Gavaria has put pen to paper on a contract extension at Barcelona that will see him remain with his boyhood club until 2026.The 18-year-old sensation, who is quickly developing into one the best all-round midfielders on the planet, also has a €1 billion release clause in his brand new deal.Yeah, Barcelona were desperate to keep the La Masia graduate at the club and that is no surprise whatsoever. The teenager is already a regular in the Blaugrana's starting XI and was exceptional against Bayern Munich on Tuesday, despite the fact Xavi Hernandez's side were beaten 2-0 in Bavaria.Gavi is also a regular for the Spanish national side under the leadership of Luis Enrique and was a key part of the team that finished as runner-up in the 2020/21 edition of the UEFA Nations League. After the recent 3-0 win over Sevilla in La Liga, which was secured by goals from Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski and Eric Garcia, Gavi was praised to the rafters by Xavi."I think he was the best player of the game, because of his intensity, how he fights, because of the passes, the high pressure," the Barcelona boss said. "He's a heart with legs. He puts passion into it. His intensity gives us a lot."Gavi in action with BarcelonaBARCELONA, SPAIN - AUGUST 28: Pablo Martin Paez Gaviria 'Gavi' of FC Barcelona looks on during the La Liga Santander match between FC Barcelona and Real Valladolid CF at Camp Nou on August 28, 2022 in Barcelona, Spain. Gavi's contract signing ceremony

To celebrate Gavi's 'Se Queda' moment, Barcelona hosted a contract signing ceremony at Camp Nou on Thursday.

And during the event in Catalonia, one fan decided to make the most of the opportunity to meet Gavi face-to-face.

While the Barcelona starlet was signing a piece of memorabilia for the person, they decided to hand him a piece of paper, which is believed to have contained their phone number.

Check out footage of the moment in question - which has unsurprisingly gone viral on social media.

Gavi is living his best life, isn't he?

The Spaniard is firmly on course to be an all-time great at Barcelona and it's crazy to think that he only turned 18 at the start of August.

Gavi has already played 53 times for the the Blaugrana's first-team, scoring two goals and assisting a further six in that time.

With fellow wonder-kids Pedri and Ansu Fati also delivering the goods on the biggest stages, it's fair to say that both Barcelona and Spain's footballing futures looks incredibly bright.
