Premier League clubs smashed all previous records during the 2022 summer transfer window, splashing out a huge £1.9 billion on new signings.

Chelsea were the biggest spenders of the window, dropping more than £253 million on new recruits. Not all that far behind the Blues were Manchester United, who parted with £216m during new boss Erik ten Hag's first few months at the club.

They didn't spend at quite the same rate, but Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal all saw high-profile arrivals who their fans hope can help propel them to glory this season.

Haaland ranks as the Premier League's most valuable commodity, despite his market value not having changed from the £135m he was calculated to be worth before leaving Borussia Dortmund for the Etihad back in June.

If the prolific Norwegian continues his blistering form at City, however, expect Transfermarkt to increase his price tag to an even greater figure during their next update.

Premier League legends Kane and Salah both saw their values shrink by £9m, although the pair are still calculated to be worth a hefty £81m a piece.

Another player to suffer a £9m downgrade is Man City's Grealish, with the England winger now valued at £63m.

Pep Guardiola must surely be questioning his side's £100m investment in the former Aston Villa man after such an underwhelming first year at the club.

Elsewhere, though, summer transfer activity did lead to some significant rises in value.

Nunez and Jesus each saw their price tags grow by £13.5m after their moves to Liverpool and Arsenal respectively.

French centre-back Fofana eventually saw his wish to join Chelsea from Leicester granted, swelling his valuation by £22.5m in the process.

Man Utd's Antony, however, can boast the biggest increase in value for any Premier League player over the summer.

The Brazilian winger is now valued at £67.5m following his move to the 'Theatre of Dreams' from Ajax - an increase of £36m from his previous price.

With his value having more than doubled in the space of a few short months, expectations are high that Antony will deliver at Old Trafford.

Time will tell if he can fulfill his enormous potential at the club.
