Canelo vs GGG 3 Weigh-in Results: Were any bouts cancelled?

Canelo Alvarez v Gennadiy Golovkin - Weigh-in

Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin will be taking to the boxing ring tonight for arguably the biggest bout of 2022, but were any contests on the fight card cancelled during the weigh-ins?

The huge trilogy bout is set to determine the Undisputed Super Middleweight Champion of the world, with Canelo currently holding the WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO and The Ring belts. Golovkin currently holds the WBA and IBF titles in the Middleweight division.

Many fighters have said in the past that weighing in is the ‘hard’ part of competing in the pugilistic endeavour, so hopefully, every boxer on the fight card was able to get on the scales ahead of their respective contests.

Here are the full weigh-in results for Canelo vs GGG 3 which takes place on Saturday, September 17th 2022 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the massive trilogy bout, Alvarez revealed that he will be looking for the knockout against Golovkin, a man who has never been stopped in his professional fight career.

He said: “You never know in boxing. That’s my goal. I prepare myself for that. But you never know. I’m going to jump in the ring and fight with my head. That’s my goal, I’m going to try all the fight to end the fight before the 12th round. But you never know.

“I think he hurts a lot in the body so that’s why I’m going to work a lot on Saturday. “He’s still strong and it’s going to be a good fight. I think this fight is going to be the best of the three.”
