Logan Paul has been brutally mocked by fans following his appearance on WWE SmackDown last night.

Paul was confronted in the ring by Sami Zayn and the 27-year-old then delivered a questionable right hand which floored the honorary member of The Bloodline.

The YouTuber signed with the WWE back in June and has made frequent appearances on various shows ever since.

Logan Paul's rise to stardom

Paul has previously had boxing fights with KSI and even Floyd Mayweather, but it is clear that the WWE is where his future lies.

It is being reported that the internet personality will even fight undisputed champion Roman Reigns at the Crown Jewel pay-per-view in November.

Reigns recently appeared on Paul’s IMPAULSIVE podcast and the brother of Jake Paul laid down the gauntlet when Reigns left.

He said: “You put me against Roman Reigns right now, I think I would win.

“Me vs. Roman Reigns one-on-one, that’s my match.”

It has led to one of the biggest storylines in the wrestling world and there is belief that the fight will be announced officially soon.

The WWE has announced a press conference for Saturday in Las Vegas with rumours circulating that Reigns and Paul will be there to announce it.

Riyadh in Saudi Arabia is being reported as a possible destination for the fight if it were to happen, the same destination for Oleksandr Usyk’s points victory against Anthony Joshua last month.

But last night, Paul was one of the stars of the SmackDown show.

Video: Logan Paul punches Sami Zayn

Zayn walked towards Paul in the ring in an attempt to lecture the former opponent of KSI.

The Canadian Zayn said: “Look, you’re not from our world so let me just explain to you how things work around here.”

Before he could explain, Paul delivered a punch to the wrestler and it sent him straight to the canvas, but fans weren't so convinced about the blow.

"What was that punch? Lol", "So confused… Who throws a friggen punch/jab/whatever… without even moving their hips?" and "Oof. That jab was like modern Shane McMahon bad" were just three responses to the clip WWE posted.

"That was such a bad wrestling punch holy s***" and "What kind of punch was that? Kudos to Sami for selling the f*** out of it though" were two further replies.

The Ohio-born Paul then stood over the 38-year-old and the audience could be heard booing.

He then said: “How do the things work around here Sami? I’d like to know.”

The Usos and Solo Sikoa then ran into the ring, with Paul quickly retreating as the trio came towards him.
