WWE SmackDown: Ridge Holland's ridiculous show of strength on 330lbs Superstar

Ridge Holland's show of strength on WWE SmackDown

Ridge Holland proved just how strong he is with an insane show of strength on WWE SmackDown this week.

In the main event of Friday night’s episode of SmackDown, Ridge Holland and Butch became the number one contenders for The Usos’ Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship.

The Brawling Brutes won a four-way tag match on the show, beating Hit Row, New Day and IMPERIUM to earn the title match next week.

A particular clip from the match has gone viral online, proving just how strong WWE’s Ridge Holland actually is.

It’s common knowledge that the former rugby player is a strong boy, but fans were reminded just how strong he is during the main event this week.

As you can see from the footage below, Holland manages to lift Top Dolla up for an incredible Alabama Slam, proving that he’s nothing short of a machine.

Video: Ridge Holland’s incredible show of strength from WWE SmackDown.

Ridge Holland currently weighs in at just over 253lbs, while Hit Row’s Top Dolla weighs in at 330lbs, 77lbs more than his fellow WWE Superstar.

For Ridge to lift someone up that’s just shy of 100lbs heavier than him would be incredibly impressive, but the fact that he did it with such ease is what has caught the attention of fans.

Below is a selection of tweets from fans in response to the ridiculous show of strength from Ridge, with many fans online clearly incredibly impressed with Holland’s work.

WWE’s plans for Ridge Holland

Ridge was one of Triple H’s projects during his time running NXT, so it shouldn’t be too surprising to hear that ‘The Game’ has featured the Englishman incredibly heavily since becoming Head of Creative.

As noted earlier Ridge and Butch will challenge The Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team title on next week’s episode of SmackDown.

It’s worth noting that no one is expecting The Brawling Brutes to win, given that WWE has big plans in store for The Usos, but it’s a good sign that the talented tandem has been given the title match.

Sheamus is also arguably on the run of his career, winning over fans with his incredible matches, the most notable of which saw him have one of WWE’s best matches ever against Gunther at Clash at the Castle.

Ridge has been a beneficiary of Sheamus’ incredible work as of late, given that the pair have been partnered with each other since November of last year.

You can watch next week’s episode of SmackDown live in the UK on BT Sport and in the US on FOX.
