Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans could find himself in some serious trouble following an incident against the New Orleans Saints.
The New Orleans Saints have certainly had the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ ever since Tom Brady arrived on the scene in 2020, going 4-1 against them, including 4-0 in the regular season. Despite the record, the Bucs have managed to reach the playoffs in both of those seasons and won the Super Bowl in 2020, but it’s still something that they needed to sort out as quickly as possible.
And they were able to do exactly that on the road on Sunday, but things were certainly far from easy for them as they struggled to put points on the board for most of the game with the scores tied at 3-3 heading into the 4th quarter before the Buccaneers were able to come away with a 20-10 victory.
Wide receiver Mike Evans didn’t have the best of days, only making three catches for 61 yards with zero touchdowns, and when Evans can’t be a part of the game, then you know something is wrong.
Mighty Mike Evans
Evans has been the main wide receiver for the Buccaneers for a few years now, going back to the Mike Glennon days, through the Jameis Winston era and now he gets to work with the G.O.A.T Tom Brady, but despite the multiple quarterbacks, he’s always made himself very useful for the organisation.
There’s no better way of demonstrating that than by the fact he holds multiple franchise records, including receptions, yards and touchdowns, which when you consider that he isn’t even 30 makes his achievement all the more remarkable.
But following his actions on Sunday, they might be forced to be without him for some time.
Mike making trouble
Evans was disqualified against the Saints, along with their safety Marshon Lattimore after both men got into an altercation following some words going back and forth with Tom Brady.

This isn’t the first time that the two have come to blows, with the two going at it when Jameis Winston was under centre.

And according to Ian Rapaport, the past history between the two could end up having a say in how Evans is punished going forward:
Given how important Evans is, and how many injuries the team have had to go through recently, the loss of Evans for a game or two would be devastating for the Bucs offense, so they’ll be hoping that any suspension, if there is one to come his way, is minimal.
