Bayley suffered a rather embarrassing gaff at a WWE Live Event this weekend in Bakersfield in California.

Footage of Bayley, who returned at SummerSlam, has emerged online after the WWE Superstar fell over the top rope.

The incident took place before Bayley's Damage CTRL faction was defeated by Bianca Belair, Asuka and Alexa Bliss.

What happened at the WWE Live Event?

As noted, Bayley fell over the top rope as she waited on the outside of the ring during her six-woman tag team match on the show.

As you can expect from a WWE house show, which happens to be more light-hearted than the TV shows, the crowd erupted into fits of laughter when the former SmackDown Women's Champion fell into the ring.

You can see the footage of Bayley's fall in the embedded tweet below.

A similar thing happened to Matt Hardy, although in reverse as the former WWE Superstar fell out of the ring, during an NXT show in 2010, with this clip drawing comparisons from fans online.

As noted, fans in attendance for the show found the clip of Bayley's fall absolutely hilarious, but that sentiment was shared by those who saw the clip on social media, as you can see below.

In fact, some are of the belief that Bayley is so good at what she does that the spot was intentional...

Bayley has even commented on the slip, jokingly saying that the ropes are slippery in a tweet early on this morning.

Latest news on WWE's plans for Bayley

After becoming the first woman to pin Bianca Belair in 2022, Bayley will be the next person to challenge the Raw Women's Champion for her title.

A date for the match hasn't been announced, by many fans expect it to take place at Extreme Rules on October 8, possibly with an additional stipulation.

As for the other plans WWE has for Bayley, many fans have speculated after the match was announced today that she could be involved in the first-ever main roster women's WarGames match.

Triple H announced that this year's Survivor Series show will have "story-driven" WarGames matches, which you can read more about by clicking here.

The matches won't be Raw v SmackDown themed, and as Bayley is leading WWE's top female faction right now and involved in the top women's storyline, many fans think that she's going to be involved.
