WWE Survivor Series WarGames was announced for November 26 today by Triple H during an interview with The Ringer.

'The Game' announced that Survivor Series this year will now have a 'WarGames' theme, the first time we've ever seen that on WWE's main roster.

Survivor Series will now do away with the traditional Raw v SmackDown theme that we've seen since 2016, with the matches now being "story-driven" instead.

As noted, the announcement, which you can read more about by clicking here, was made by Triple H during an interview today.

Fans have been clamouring for WWE to change up the tired Survivor Series format for years now, so Triple H's announcement will come as music to the ears of many.

This announcement is just the latest example of Triple H listening to many of the issues that fans had with WWE TV when it was run by Vince McMahon, prior to his retirement in July.

So, once we get Extreme Rules and Crown Jewel out of the way, which take place on October 8 and November 5 respectively, WWE fans will have the exciting Premium Live Event to get excited about.

The latest on WWE's plans for Survivor Series WarGames

At the time of writing, there are still 68 days between now and Survivor Series WarGames, so WWE's plans for the big show remain quite unclear.

However, GiveMeSport has decided to look at who could be involved in the historic WarGames matches, the first of their kind on WWE's main roster.

As for the men, it's almost certain that WarGames will feature The Bloodline in some capacity. The group is WWE's top act, and it makes too much sense to not include them in the match.

With the match likely to take the usual four-on-four theme, The Bloodline will likely be represented by Roman Reigns, The Usos and Solo Sikoa, the latter of whom only joined the group at Clash at the Castle on September 3.

This would exclude Sami Zayn, who for the last few months, as been involved with The Bloodline as the 'Honorary Uce', but the former NXT Champion could still feature in the match.

If Sami isn't teaming with The Bloodline, perhaps he could be part of the team that goes up against WWE's most dominant faction.

Kevin Owens, who is Sami's long-time friend, has also teased feuding with The Bloodline over the last few weeks, so perhaps he can join Sami, alongside Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins, both of whom have targetted Reigns over the last few weeks.

That could set up a match with Sami, Kevin, Drew and Seth Rollins taking on The Bloodline, one that has the potential to almost definitely sell out any arena in North America.

Moving onto the women, and this is where things get a little bit more difficult to predict.

Like with The Bloodline, you have to suspect that Damage CTRL will be involved with the women's WarGames match, given that they're WWE's top female faction.

Bayley, Dakota Kai and IYO SKY would have to find another partner somewhere though, with Liv Morgan and Ronda Rousey being potential candidates.

As for Damage CTRL's opponents, you have to guess that Bianca Belair will be involved, as will her friends Asuka and Alexa Bliss, who have fought against Damage CTRL since August.

That would also leave Bianca, Asuka and Alexa needing to find a fourth member too, with Shotzi, Raquel Rodriguez and even Liv Morgan again potentially being able to fit into the slot.

However, the potential returns of Sasha Banks and Naomi have thrown a curveball into the mix, as if they're back by November, Triple H will almost definitely want to get the talented tandem involved.

It's worth noting that this is all speculation at this stage, as WWE has not yet announced who will be part of WarGames, neither has it been reported by any reputable sources.
