Odell Beckham Jr might have thrown another team into the mix of potential suitors this past weekend after footage emerged of him during the New Orleans Saints v Tampa Bay Buccaneers game.

Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr is looking for a new team to play for in 2022, having been released by the Los Angeles Rams at the end of last season, a season in which he played a big part in getting the team to the Super Bowl and then going on to win it.

He only had 44 receptions for 537 yards in the regular season, although it did still produce 5 touchdowns, but it wasn’t until the postseason that he really began to shine once again, catching a further 21 balls for 288 yards and 2 touchdowns, including the opening score against the Cincinnati Bengals in the Super Bowl.

However, as a result of the ACL injury that he suffered in the Super Bowl, the second time he has had it happen to him in his career having suffered it with the Cleveland Browns in 2020, he is currently without a team until he can recover fully and be ready to play, something that NFL insider Adam Schefter claims won’t happen until Thanksgiving.

But that doesn’t mean he can’t start looking for teams right now to get an idea of what he can bring to the table, and that might just have been what he was doing this past weekend.

Odell Beckham Jr tapping up Tom Brady?

In footage posted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ social media team, Beckham could be seen talking with quarterback Tom Brady ahead of the game.

Now Beckham Jr is a native of Louisiana having been born and raised in Baton Rouge and went to school at Louisiana State, so it’s likely that he was there supporting his hometown New Orleans Saints, but this could very well have been the first step in the two forming up later in the season.

Odell Beckham Jr, a very useful tool?

When it comes to health in the wide receiver department, or indeed anywhere else on the field, the Buccaneers aren’t exactly blessed with a healthy roster, as their injury report ahead of their game this weekend showed.

Now obviously Beckham isn’t what he was back when he was younger and lighting up the league with the New York Giants, he showed last year that in a pinch he can prove very useful for teams who need him, and giving how the Buccaneers have started the season on the injury front, they might need an extra body in there to help, and that might be Beckham Jr’s time to shine.
