Latest news on Kurt Angle
Taking to ‘The Kurt Angle Show’ podcast this week, Angle said that he is dealing with some memory loss as a result of the four concussions he suffered throughout his career.
Angle explained, as you can see below, that three of the concussions he suffered were “pretty bad”, which explains why he’s dealing with the issues that he is right now, via WrestlingNews.co.
I would say I probably had four concussions that I know of. major. One was a slight concussion that wasn’t too bad. The other three were pretty bad.
As noted, Angle said that he has suffered some “damage” to his brain, and is now starting to “not remember things”, particularly as it comes to things from the past, which is quite worrying.
But, you know, even to this day, I’m starting to not remember things, you know, and I’m only in my early 50s. But, I’ve gotten a little damage to my brain, there’s no doubt about it. You know, my memory is not that great anymore. I really have to think hard about remembering the past.
Kurt Angle’s WWE retirement
Fans weren’t too happy with the decision to have Corbin as Angle’s final opponent, with many wanting to see the former WWE Champion face someone of a higher calibre.
Angle has explained that he’s received offers from both WWE and AEW to return and have more matches over the last few years, all of which he’s rejected as of right now.
And given his unfortunate heath update, it really seems like Angle is done in the ring and won’t ever wrestle again, unlike many other wrestling legends who have gone back on their prior retirements.
