Many will be surprised to know that despite his formidable campaign with Borussia Dortmund last season and then his start this term, EA Sports have decided to not grant him with an upgrade on FIFA 23. The Norwegian will start the game with a base rating of 88 once again, although that will look silly come the end of the season.
The new game is just over a week away, with partners of EA Sports releasing their own promotional content, including Premier League clubs with their players as the hype builds over a new game.
Erling Haaland plays higher or lower
FIFA content creator who goes by the name, FG, was presented with the opportunity to host the game show for Man City’s YouTube channel as a fan of the club himself.
Palmer predicted he would have 72 pace, with Haaland grinning as he predicts it will be lower. The big Norwegian is human after all as he was incorrect, with the young English forward boasting 76 pace on the new title.
Erling Haaland threatens to leave
Obviously, there’s a lot of discrepancies when it comes to FIFA ratings, even from the professionals themselves, Haaland clearly holds pride in his stats, especially physical.
FG asked the players, will Haaland’s physical rating of 87 be higher or lower than that of teammate, Rodri. Before the decision could be made, Haaland threatened to leave if it was higher, saying: “If it’s higher, I will leave.”

One of the best things about the release of a new FIFA is the content released in the build-up to the release date, with the videos from your favourite clubs even better, however, clips like this are incredibly entertaining, even for those of us that aren’t Manchester City fans. You’ll get to learn some stats about players on the new edition of the game too if you tune in.
