Chelsea attacker Kai Havertz was a player Thomas Tuchel really trusted, according to journalist Paul Brown.

However, with the 49-year-old now no longer at the club, Brown is interested to see how he gets on at Stamford Bridge.

What is the latest news involving Havertz?

Havertz is thought to be attracting interest from Bayern Munich.

According to journalist Simon Phillips, Chelsea expect the German giants to make a serious approach for the former Bayer Leverkusen star next summer.

Havertz joined the Blues in a £71m deal two years ago and had a huge part to play in the club's 2021 Champions League triumph.

It was the £150,000-a-week Germany international, of course, who scored the only goal in Chelsea's 1-0 win over Manchester City, which led the London side to their second Champions League trophy.

What has Brown said about Havertz and Chelsea?

With Graham Potter now at the helm, Brown is keen to see how Havertz gets on at Chelsea this season.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the journalist said: "It's going to be really interesting to see what happens with Kai Havertz. He was 100% a Tuchel man. Tuchel hung his hat on him, played him as the main centre-forward, gave him a lot of responsibility."

How has Havertz performed this season?

Havertz certainly is someone Tuchel put a lot of faith in when he was still in the Stamford Bridge dugout. In total, the 23-year-old played 74 times under his former manager. This season, however, he had his struggles in the build-up to Tuchel's dismissal.

In the six Premier League games Tuchel oversaw in the current campaign, Havertz scored just one goal and failed to muster up a single assist.

With Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang now at the club, you suspect that he will have to do much better if he wants to keep his place in the side.

There has also been some talk about Potter being really impressed with what he has seen from Armando Broja in training so far, turning up the heat on Havertz even further.

Of course, there is always the chance that Potter uses him differently to Tuchel, with the ex-Paris Saint-Germain boss often deploying the attacking midfielder up front.

But if that does not turn out to be the case and Potter also views Havertz as a centre-forward or false 9, then he has to start scoring before he loses his place to either Aubameyang or Broja.
