Alpine are running a private test this week at the Hungaroring in Hungary with three drivers at the wheel of their A521 car from last season.
The team is still going in search of a driver to partner Esteban Ocon for next season, with Fernando Alonso leaving the team to join Aston Martin for 2023.
A number of drivers have been linked with the vacant seat but, as yet, it is not clear who is going to arrive within the team and may not be for a little while longer at least.
Pierre Gasly and Mick Schumacher have both been touted as potential options for next year but won't be at the test this week in Budapest for obvious reasons, with three other drivers reportedly set to work with the team this week.
Three drivers testing for Alpine
Antonio Giovinazzi, Nyck de Vries and Jack Doohan are the men with the opportunity to show what they can do in the A521, then, with all three obviously having eyes on driving in F1 in the near future.
Giovinazzi left F1 at the end of last season having been at Alfa Romeo, with him joining Formula E at the start of their campaign.
His time there in the championship was not successful, however, with him struggling to find consistency and suffering a number of retirements with him unable to score a point.
He's eager to return to F1, then, and has also had an FP1 session drive with Haas, taken at Monza last time out, amid links that he may head there for 2023.

De Vries, meanwhile, had a better time during his spell in Formula E with him winning the 2021 world championship and being part of the Mercedes team that won the teams' championship twice.
He is also a Formula 2 title winner and showed that he has the ability to compete in Formula 1 last time out at Monza as he stood in for Alex Albon in the Williams and produced a fine performance, beating team-mate Nicholas Latifi over both qualifying and the race.
De Vries has been linked with a move to Williams and AlphaTauri for 2023 as well as Alpine, so he is a man in demand at the moment.

Finally, Doohan is probably an outside bet for next year but he is on Alpine's driver programme and could be a full-time F1 driver for them in the future.
He has shown good form in Formula 2 this year and will be eager to show what he can do at the wheel of an F1 car this week.
