Triple H predicts Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua

WWE legend Triple H expects Tyson Fury to come ‘out on top’ against Anthony Joshua if the pair meet inside the boxing ring.

This past month, the Gypsy King seemingly revealed his eagerness to fight his fellow Brit inside the squared circle in a series of posts on Instagram following his rematch defeat to Oleksandr Usyk.

It didn’t take long for Fury’s recent social media antics to come to the attention of Joshua, who responded with an Instagram post of his own.

And now the long-awaited Battle of Britain is apparently closer to happening than it has ever been before after a hub of activity over the past week or so.

And ‘H’, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, believes Fury’s fight IQ and physical attributes gives him the edge for his potential showdown with Joshua.

“I think it’s phenomenal,” he told iFL TV. “Look, from a boxing standpoint, I don’t think anyone right now can touch Tyson Fury.

“I think his size, his strength, the skillset that he has is unmatched. I think Tyson Fury comes out on top.

“Is that a match that I want to see? Absolutely. I can’t wait to see it.

“If it’s at all possible I will be sitting there watching in person because that’s a blockbuster. But if I had to make a prediction, Tyson Fury on top, maybe eight rounds.”

Frank Warren provides update on Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua

Meanwhile Fury’s UK promoter Frank Warren has revealed Joshua’s representative Eddie Hearn has received a contract offer for him to sign in order for the fight to go ahead as planned on December 3.

“The contracts are on their way but I’m not going into great detail about this because we saw what happened last time round with people making statements and so forth and it all fell apart,” Warren said during an appearance on talkSPORT.

“This fight won’t be on until it’s signed, but everybody wants it to happen.

“There aren’t any obstacles in the way, so hopefully very quickly we can get it over the line, but until it’s signed, it’s not on.

“When you’re a promoter, you’re an optimist. That’s what you do. You’re in the business of trying to make events happen, so we’re all excited it.

“I’m excited about it as a fight because I always felt that Tyson has the beating of AJ and now we’re gonna find out if we get this over the line.

“I knew he would fight because Tyson is a fighting man and he’s in the gym all the time. He keeps himself really well and he doesn’t get out of condition.

“I believe his mentality is that when he’s in the gym he needs something to aim for and what does he aim for if he’s a world champion boxer, it’s to fight and that’s what it was.

“He made it very clear to me a couple of weeks ago that he wants to fight and we were talking about a couple of opponents.

“We were getting quite close to announcing something and then we had this conversation and he just said, ‘make that happen’.”
