Featured TOTW and POTM items are some of the most sought-after in the game. They possess boosted stats that make their original base card much better to play, combined with a slick design that makes them look even more visually appealing in your Ultimate Team.
In the past, featured TOTW and POTM items could simply only have their stats boosted, but everything is about to change in FIFA 23. Find out more on this below.
Leaks reveal huge changes for POTM and featured TOTW items
This information has come from reliable FIFA leaker FUTSheriff and states that POTM and featured TOTW items can now get skill move and weak foot upgrades in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team!
This is absolutely huge news for FIFA 23 and something we’ve never seen in the past with these specific items.
This will surely provide a lot more longevity for POTM and featured TOTW cards. It suggests that way down the line in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team we could see players like Erling Haaland with 5-star skills or weak foot – which would make them a lot more desirable for players.
Bear in mind the leak suggests that this only affects ‘featured TOTW’ items.
Featured TOTW Items were introduced back in FIFA 22 as a brand new way to celebrate the performance of a select Team of the Week player. They are identified by a star icon above the Overall Rating. Each week, EA assigns one of these items to a player, featuring a double boost.
It’s unknown in the future whether EA will decide to upgrade regular TOTW items with weak foot and skill moves. It would be so good to see an increased skill move boost if a player pulled off a ridiculous skill in a match – but this is down to EA sadly.
