UFC Fight Night is set to return on Saturday, October 1st from the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, but what is the full confirmed fight card for the MMA event?

Mackenzie Dern will be heading back to the octagon for the main event in a Women’s Strawweight bout against Xiaonan Yan. Both women will be looking to secure an impressive victory on the night, with Dern sitting at #5 in the 115 lb rankings and Yan currently sitting at #6.

A big display on October 1st could see either competitor moving on to a fight against the likes of Weili Zhang, Rose Namajunas or division Champion Carla Esparza in the very near future, so they will be wanting to show up and show out on the night!

Speaking to LowKickMMA, Dern recently revealed that she can ‘see a submission coming’ in the main event bout.

She said: “I’m enjoying it because I’m getting so much better. I’m evolving so much in the gym so it’s exciting. It’s exciting to see how I will do. I really hope to get a solid win in this fight.

“She’s tough, man. She’s athletic. Her high volume from when I see her punches, they sting. It’s definitely a little bit better when I fight someone who engages more and that isn’t scared of the engagement or isn’t so strategic but I definitely see some holes [in] her on the ground.

“I think [I win] by submission for sure. Hopefully performance of the night, that’s the goal. I’m trying to make that record for the strawweight division. I have a long way to catch up to Charles “Do Bronx” [Oliveira] but I definitely am trying to get the performance of the night…I see a submission coming.”
