Edge is slated to appear at WWE Extreme Rules, a rather surprising new update has revealed.
Many fans felt as if Edge being brutally attacked by Judgement Day on Raw last week was going to write him off TV for a prolonged period of time.
However, advertisements for the Extreme Rules pay-per-view on October 8 suggest that Edge is going to be back by then.
Latest news on Edge's WWE future
WWE has released the poster for Extreme Rules, its next Premium Live Event on October 8, which airs from the Wells Fargo Arena in Philladelphia, via WrestleTalk.
Featuring on the poster is Matt Riddle, Ronda Rousey, Bianca Belair, Seth Rollins, Bayley, and a rather interesting name.
Edge also features on the post, which you check out below, which all but confirms that the WWE legend will be on the show next month.

It's worth noting that all of the other names on the poster have matches announced for the show, so it's likely that Edge will have one confirmed too over the coming weeks.
If he does wrestle on the show, which at this stage is likely, the WWE Hall of Famer is widely thought to be having a singles match with Finn Balor.
Balor v Edge was the match many fans thought was going to go down at SummerSlam, and then at Clash at the Castle, but it didn't take place on either of those shows.
Instead, Triple H has been quite keen to hold back on that match, meaning it'll likely be used as the way that WWE ends the feud between Edge and Judgement Day, which started in June.
Edge's plans for retirement
Edge returned to wrestling in January 2020 after just shy of nine years out of the ring due to injury.
Despite being back for just under three years, Edge has revealed that he plans to retire again next year, this time on his own terms.
When WWE was in Canada last month, Edge wrestled and beat Damian Priest on the main event of Raw, cutting an emotional promo to the crowd after the show, which you can check out by clicking here.
While addressing the crowd in his hometown, Edge revealed that it's his intention to retire from wrestling in August 2023, wanting his final match to be in Toronto.
WWE will likely try and convince the 48-year-old to stay and delay his retirement, but as of right now, the wrestling icon intends on hanging up his boots for good in just under one years time.
