Roman Reigns v Logan Paul: Why WWE is booking big title match

Roman Reigns revealed his true thoughts on Logan Paul

Roman Reigns v Logan Paul will take place at WWE Crown Jewel on November 5 in Saudi Arabia.

Many fans have questioned why Triple H is booking the match, given it’s so early on in Logan’s WWE career.

However, a new report from the Wrestling Observer has revealed the reason for the match has a lot to do with where it’s happening.

Latest news on Roman Reigns v Logan Paul

WWE announced the match between Roman and Logan at a press conference in Las Vegas on Saturday afternoon.

The bout, which will only be Logan’s third in his WWE career, will be contested for Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that the match is taking place mainly because the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia wants it to happen.

The Crown Prince is a big fan of Logan Paul, who is a big deal in Saudi Arabia, so that’s why the match is happening, via No DQ.

Logan Paul is a big deal in Saudi Arabia. He’s a big deal to the Saudi Arabian prince and that’s the whole thing of these shows.

Meltzer explains that the decision wasn’t made to boost ticket sales, as WWE is already paid huge money to put on the shows in Saudi Arabia.

He went on to say that the idea is that the prince wants big matches in Saudi Arabia to boost the positive press in the country, and Logan fits into that bracket.

The prince wants celebrity fights in Saudi Arabia to build the name in the media of Saudi Arabia and Logan Paul will get more of the type of press that Saudi Arabia is looking for than Kevin Owens or Seth Rollins. That’s what Saudi Arabia is there for. Saudi Arabia is for matches that the prince wants that will get press attention around the world for Saudi Arabia so this is a great match for that.

It’s worth noting that Logan Paul has impressed heavily in all of his WWE matches so far, arguably doing better than anyone expected him to.

Of course, his undeniable name value will play a part in any opportunities he’s given by WWE, but you cannot say that his impressive outings won’t have influenced Triple H’s decision too.
