Arsenal are building something special under the guidance of Mikel Arteta, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

He told GIVEMESPORT: "It just feels from an outsider looking in at Arsenal that something's happening at that football club, in that the patience they've shown in Arteta, particularly when there was a lot of criticism.

"If you go back to the start of last season after they spent the most of any European club in that transfer window, and then started the season with those three defeats: the bad defeat against Brentford and the heavy defeat against Brentford as well.

"But they really did stand by Arteta and said 'no, we've given him this money during the transfer window, we are backing him, he is the long term project at Arsenal'."

Can Arsenal challenge for the title?

Arsenal might have made an impressive start to the season, winning more matches than anyone else in the top-flight.

But maintaining that consistency for 38 games is not something they've been able to do for several years.

Therefore, qualifying for the Champions League for the first time since 2016-2017, should be their first target, and if they're still within touching distance in the winter then they might start to dream.

Furthermore, they'll surely be up against one of the best teams in Premier League history in Manchester City, who've finished on at least 86 points in four of the last five seasons and are likely to set the standard once again.
