Floyd Mayweather has no interest whatsoever in fighting Amir Khan in any sort of capacity.

Earlier this year, Khan expressed his interest in taking on Mayweather in an exhibition match having watched him go through the motions against his former sparring partner 'Dangerous' Don Moore in May.

During an interview with azizdxb, Khan said: “We saw the event today, I think Floyd, he needed a real challenge.

“We should do it, 100 per cent guys. Either hit me up or hit my brother up. I’m calling him out! Let’s make it happen.”

Floyd Mayweather has accused Amir Khan of being a 'clout chaser'

"That's your answer right there. I'm not even worried about Amir Khan. I want to go out there this weekend in Tokyo and have fun [against Mikuru Asakura].

"Then I have another exhibition in Dubai in November and me and Conor McGregor in 2023.

"Amir Khan is reaching and reaching and reaching. He has been reaching and reaching and reaching his whole career.

"He was a pretty cool fighter but he wasn't a Floyd Mayweather or any of the other top guys. He did what he had to do. He's a clout chaser."

“You know what? I’d beat him. If I was in my prime I’m very confident,” he said during an appearance on Gary Neville's The Overlap with Sky Sports. “I’m going to get a lot of hate for that, I’m sorry guys, but you have to believe in yourself and that’s one thing I’ve always done throughout my career.

“I think stylistically, when Mayweather was a lot younger he had a lot of speed, a lot of movement, but I feel that my speed would have beaten his speed, my movement would have beaten his movement and he really wasn’t the biggest puncher in the game so it would have been like a game of chess, but I would have outboxed him.

“When me and him were supposed to fight I remembered that I signed all the contracts and everything was negotiated. Everything was signed off and why didn’t it happen? Because I announced it first before him. Can you believe that? He wanted to be the man to announce the fight, but because he didn’t get to do it he said ‘I’m not fighting you.’
