Tom Brady is going to have to produce something special this Sunday if he and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are to beat the Green Bay Packers, ESPN analyst Bart Scott has claimed.

Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are very much ‘up against it’ this Sunday as they prepare to take on the Green Bay Packers in a game that could be crucial to how the playoff standings are set in the NFC come the end of the season.

And the reason for that comes down to arguably the biggest concern that the Bucs have had going back even as far as the preseason, and that is the availability of players and managing to keep them healthy long enough to put together a team to take the field.

The problem has predominantly been affecting the offensive side of the ball, with offensive linemen seemingly dropping like flies during preseason, whilst the fitness of the likes of wide receivers Chris Godwin, Julio Jones, Scotty Miller, Breshard Perriman and Russell Cage were all either limited in or absent from practice on Wednesday as per the Bucs’ official injury report

That list also doesn’t include star wide receiver Mike Evans who is suspended following a fight he got into this past weekend against the New Orleans Saints.

Now the Buccaneers have been able to weather the storm so far this season, going 2-0 picking up wins against the Dallas Cowboys and Saints, but that has in large part been down the defence who have allowed just one touchdown in those two games and currently lead the league in sacks with 10.

But coming up against a quarterback like Aaron Rodgers and a Green Bay Packers offense that flipped a switch last week and look to be cooking once again after a dreadful start in Week 1. And as a result, this game could well be a test for Brady as he’ll need to use every bit of experience he’s gathered from his time in the league to get them the win.

Because according to ESPN analyst Bart Scottit’s likely going to be all on him.

Tom Brady HAS to be Tom Terrific

Speaking on ESPN’s Get Up (starting at 1:34), Scott spoke about the current options for Brady and claimed that he would need to ‘pull a rabbit out of the hat’ when it came to his performance on Sunday if the Buccaneers:

This is certainly going to be a big test for the Buccaneers this weekend, with players likely to be out or not at 100% fitness. But if they can come away with another win, then we might have found our favourites in the NFC, because you can then only begin to imagine the damage they can cause when everyone is at 100% health.
