Christian Eriksen scored an absolutely beauty of a goal in Thursday evening's Nations League matches.

The Man Utd man, who has been in impressive form since joining the Premier League giants, was in action for Denmark as they faced Croatia.

The Danes were top of League A Group 1 heading into the encounter after securing three wins in four matches thus far.

However, they have now slipped down to second after being turned over by Croatia 2-1.

Goals from Borna Sosa and Lovro Majer were enough to seal victory for the home side.

But it was one moment of brilliance from Eriksen that undoubtedly stole the show.

With the score still at 1-0, Eriksen picked up the ball 30 yards away from the opposition goal and found himself in acres of space.

The Croatians should have known better given they were facing a player of Eriksen's quality, and he duly punished them for their mistake.

Taking just one touch to turn and another to knock it out of his feet, Eriksen let loose an absolutely vicious strike which nestled perfectly in the top left corner.

Pick that one out, keeper!

The goal looked to have brought the Danes back into the match, but the team unfortunately let the opportunity pass by as they conceded just two minutes later.

Denmark now sit second in their group, one place above France who beat Austria in impressive fashion earlier tonight.

They play Les Bleus next knowing that they've already done enough to secure second spot, whilst a win could see them leapfrog Croatia once again and take prime placing.

Eriksen, meanwhile, can look forward to returning to club football after the international break.
