Federico Valverde has been one of the best players in European football so far this season. The versatile Uruguayan midfielder finished 2021/22 in superb form and even assisted Vinicius Junior's goal in Real Madrid's 1-0 Champions League final victory over Liverpool. But this campaign, Valverde really has taken his game to another level. The 24-year-old is now one of the first names on Carlo Ancelotti's team sheet and it's very easy to see why.Operating as either a right-winger or as an all-action central midfielder, Valverde has scored four goals and assisted two more in nine appearances across all competitions so far in 2022/23.He even rippled the back of the net in Real Madrid's recent 2-1 victory over fierce rivals Atletico, which saw the team maintain their 100% start to the La Liga campaign.Yeah, Valverde might just be the most in-form midfielder in world football at this point in time and do you know what the scary thing is? He's only going to get better and better.Real Madrid's Fede Valverde in actionMADRID, SPAIN - SEPTEMBER 14: Federico Valverde of Real Madrid CF reacts during the UEFA Champions League group F match between Real Madrid and RB Leipzig at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on September 14, 2022 in Madrid, Spain. Real Madrid signed Valverde way back in 2016

In July of 2016, Valverde completed a move to Real Madrid from famous Uruguayan outfit Penarol, where he made quite a name for himself in a relatively short space of time.

And while he was dazzling fans in his homeland as a baby-faced teenager, Valverde was responsible for one of the funniest post-match interviews we've ever seen.

A short clip of it has recently gone viral on social media and that's because the player unfortunately sounds like a lot like Disney character Mickey Mouse.

We feel a tad evil for laughing, but it just cannot be helped unfortunately...

It's just too funny, isn't it? Thankfully, Valverde doesn't sound like that anymore, as you will hear for yourself in the video below where the combative star picks his dream five-a-side team made up of Real Madrid legends.

There was no place for Cristiano Ronaldo or current teammate Luka Modric, but that's because only players who are officially retired from the sport were allowed to be chosen...

Iker Casillas, Roberto Carlos, Fernando Redondo, Raul Gonzalez and Zinedine Zidane were the quintet selected by Valverde.

Imagine coming up against those guys at Goals on a Wednesday evening, eh?
