YouTuber Speed stole the show vs Sidemen FC - his individual highlights have now gone viral

YouTuber Speed stole the show during Saturday’s charity match between Sidemen FC and YouTube All Stars with an entertaining performance at The Valley.

More than £1 million was raised for charity and the sell-out crowd, plus millions more watching around the world, were treated to a 15-goal thriller.

Social media stars KSI, Mr Beast and Chunkz were among those who put their boots on for the match at Charlton Athletic’s home stadium.

Miniminter (Simon Minter) scored a sensational hat-trick to help Sidemen FC secure an 8-7 victory.

But it’s Speed (IShowSpeed) whose individual highlights have subsequently gone viral.

Within 20 seconds of kick-off, Speed crunched KSI with a tackle that Vinnie Jones would have been proud of.

The 17-year-old, who has 11 million subscribers on YouTube, went on to delight the crowd with step-overs, more full-blooded challenges and electric pace.

He put the ball in the net midway through the second half but his goal was disallowed for offside, much to the teenager’s annoyance.

Booked for taking off his shirt, Speed reacted to his yellow card by whipping former Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg’s backside with the aforementioned red jersey.

Yep, it was a truly mad afternoon in south-east London.

Look, his technical attributes are obviously raw to say the least but take nothing away from his attitude.

This American was determined to put on a show and did just that.

Let’s check out some of the reaction to Speed’s performance:

Speed hit out at Mark Clattenburg

Speed, who emulated Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic ’SIUUU!’ celebration after thinking he’d scored, hit out at Clattenburg in his post-match interview.

“Oh my god! So much anger built inside of me you know,” he was quoted as saying by The Mirror. “I’m mad bro. Who is that ref? Are you even a Premier League ref bro? That’s a clear goal, they just hating. I’m very p****d off right now bro.”

He also wanted to know how he was flagged offside in this scenario:

KSI’s tweet about Speed

KSI, meanwhile, tweeted about *that* tackle by Speed after the match.

“What a day,” he said. “I’m absolutely knackered but I’m so proud of what the social media/online community did today. So entertaining & raised so much money for charity. A historic moment. Thanks to everyone that made this event so special. Can’t wait to do it again next year 🙂

“Speed giving me an L in the first 20 seconds of the game too.”

What did Speed tweet after Sidemen 8-7 YouTube All Stars?

Rather cheekily, Speed tweeted a photo of himself standing over KSI during the match alongside the caption: “I own you lil bro”.

He also tweeted a photo of himself alongside YouTube All Stars manager Mark Goldbridge.
