Man throws flowers at Floyd Mayweather’s feet
While Mayweather was complimentary about the people of Japan, there were bizarre scenes inside the ring shortly before the right got underway.
A man – possibly an official dignitary of some sorts, according to Fox Sports – went to hand Mayweather a bouquet of flowers.
But instead of handing the bouquet into Mayweather’s outstretched arms, the man threw them onto the floor.
The crowd gasped while the commentators also sounded shocked.

Damien Brown added: “Never, never. It’s the traditional handing of the flowers, a respectful thing. Maybe there’s some games being played.”
