Robert Lewandowski produced a quite incredible assist for Poland against Wales on Sunday night. The away side were struggling to break down a stubborn Welsh side until Lewandowski pulled off a stunning assist for Karol Swiderski to score the only goal of the game. The ball was played into the Barcelona striker who appeared to have a lot to do with his back to goal. However, he somehow saw the run of Swiderski and managed to cushion the ball into his path with his left foot.It was the most delicate of touches to deal with a very difficult ball. But it was perfection as Swiderski went through to finish.

VIDEO: Robert Lewandowski's incredible assist for Poland

Incredible.

Poland travelled to Wales knowing that, if they avoided defeat, they wouldn't be relegated from their League A Group 4 Nations League table.

And thanks to Lewandowski's assist - and Swiderski goal - they relegated Wales instead.

With Lewandowski in this kind of form, you would back the Poles to progress through their group at the World Cup in Qatar.

However, they will have to get past Argentina, Saudi Arabia and Mexico if they are to do so.

Lewa, who has scored 11 goals in his first eight matches for Barca, will be eyeing up that Golden Boot at the tournament no matter how far Poland get.

Lewandowski explains the difference between La Liga and Bundesliga

He certainly won't be fazed if teams attempt to defend against his side - something he's getting used to at Barcelona.

“The Bundesliga was definitely more physical. In Spain, many more teams try and want to play football. This is how I see it now, but I do not rule out that the perception will change. We are facing matches with teams that will defend themselves,” Lewandowski told Przeglad Sportowy (captured by Barca Universal).

“This was the case against Elche. Seemingly the last team in the table, I scored two goals, but it was really hard for us to play because the opponent was very defensively positioned and moved skillfully on the pitch.”
