Jess Park keeps her cool in front of the Kop
Park, on loan at Everton from Manchester City, scored her first ever WSL goal this evening. And it was a beauty.
The young star ran onto a brilliant pass from Nathalie Björn, putting herself one on one with Liverpool goalkeeper Rachael Laws.
As defender Jasmine Matthews began to catch up with Park, most fans would have expected her to slot the ball past the goalkeeper.
Instead, Park coolly shifted the ball onto her left foot, leaving Laws and Matthews on the floor. She then passed into the empty net to double Evertonâs lead.

It was all the more impressive that Park scored her goal in front of the Kop, which was packed full of disappointed Liverpool fans.
After the match, Park revealed that she had tried to pull off a similar goal in training, but that it had not gone as well.
âI tried it in training and messed it up, so I was glad it went in this time,â she laughed.
