Anthony Joshua's sparring partner Frazer Clarke is confident Joe Joyce can beat Oleksandr Usyk following his stunning victory over Joseph Parker.

'The Juggernaut', 37, shocked Parker by stopping him in his tracks on Saturday night at the AO Arena in Manchester, winning the WBO interim heavyweight title and setting up a championship showdown with Usyk in the process.

Joyce has often been perceived as being quite slow and cumbersome but his superior gas tank proved the difference as his unrelenting pressure ended up being too much for Parker.

Usyk meanwhile is known for his constant movement and elite footwork - something Joshua's sparring partner Clarke, 30, says would actually work against him if the pair meet inside the ring.

Clarke told iD Boxing: "You know what? I'm going to regret this. I think he beats Usyk you know.

"I think he does. Usyk would do a little bit better than Parker because he's a bit more cuter. But twelve rounds I think Joyce beats him now I really do.

"I think he loses a lot of rounds, I think he loses a lot of rounds, but I think it'd be similar to that.

"Everyone slows down, no matter how good you are, if you're a heavyweight you slow down. Even the man over there Fury, he does so much moving and he slows down, it's just the way it goes. We're big men.

"So yeah, big up Joe Joyce, over the moon for him."

Boxing News - Frazer Clarke believes Joe Joyce would cause problems for Tyson Fury

Clarke also talked up Joyce's possible chances against Tyson Fury.

Fury was sat ringside as he made an appearance at the event to show his support for his close friend and training partner Parker.

He continued: "Probably the toughest fight for Fury, and the toughest fight for Joyce.

"I think stylistically he could probably cause a lot more problems than anyone else. But then again Joyce would cause Tyson Fury a lot of problems as well.

"And anyone that says no and that Tyson Fury is too good and this and that, I'm telling you now, mark these words - Tyson Fury probably does beat Joe Joyce on a points decision in England, close, probably a bit dubious, but that man gives him loads of trouble.

"A lot of trouble. More trouble than anyone else at the minute."
