Will the mode impact Ultimate Team?

FIFA 22 Ultimate Team

The answer to this is yes, but in a different way than in previous FIFA's.

Leaks from reliable FIFA source FUTSheriff have stated that there will be no World Cup mode in FUT this year and instead it will be based on themed cards, promos throughout the tournament. Check out the Twitter thread below for more information.

Will the mode solely impact Ultimate Team?

Penalty in FIFA 23

This is unlikely.

Every World Cup add-on in previous FIFA releases has allowed players to play their way through the tournament both online and offline, trying to bring glory to their own country.

That will be the case this year too, most likely, and Harry Kane is set to be lifting trophies in bedrooms across the country soon enough!

Yep!

Both FIFA 14 and FIFA 18 featured add-ons, although the former was more an Ultimate Team mode, as there was also a separate FIFA game released for the Brazilian tournament.

Of course, because of the small pool of teams and players involved in the tournament, there was a much higher chance of packing highly-rated players within the Ultimate Team modes, without having to spend a fortune.

Before FIFA 14, there were complete games released based on the World Cups; this was the case for 2002, 2006, and 2010.
