England finally ended their long wait for a goal from open play on Monday evening in a thrilling 3-3 draw with Germany.
The Three Lions' attacking numbers going into the UEFA Nations League encounter were dismal and things quickly took a turn for the worse at Wembley Stadium.
In the second half, Die Mannschaft took a commanding 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Ilkay Gundogan and Kai Havertz.
Gundogan's strike came from the penalty spot after some woeful defensive play by Harry Maguire, while Havertz's was an absolute beauty from distance.
England responded to the setbacks very well, though.
Luke Shaw converted from close-range to reduce deficit to one goal, before substitutes Bukayo Saka and Mason Mount combined to devastating effect three minutes later.
Saka drove at the Germany defence like Lionel Messi in his prime and found Mount in acres of space.
The Chelsea man then latched onto the ball and duly fired it past a helpless Marc-Andre ter Stegen in the Germany goal.

It really was liquid football, which has been at a premium during Southgate's reign.
England completed the comeback shortly after Mount's worldie, captain Harry Kane converting from the spot following a blatant foul on Jude Bellingham.
The Tottenham Hotspur striker was just never going to miss from 12 yards out, was he?

Well taken, Harry. He's closing in on Wayne Rooney's goalscoring record for the Three Lions.
But victory was taken away from England very late on by an uncharacteristic error from Nick Pope.
The Newcastle United goalkeeper - who's been exceptional in 2022/23 at club level - couldn't keep hold of a tame long-range shot and the spill allowed Havertz to pounce and claim his second goal of the evening.

His chances of usurping Jordan Pickford in the England pecking order have sadly taken a serious hit there.
Despite Pope's error, there were a lot of positives for Southgate to take from the game after the horror show against Italy last week.
Going forward, England were far more of a threat and the character shown by the players to bounce back from 2-0 down was mighty impressive.
Who knows, the Three Lions could have a massive say at the Qatar World Cup in a few months time.
