Conor McGregor is single-handedly responsible for some of the most iconic moments in the history of the UFC

All around the board, there have been some epic performances in the UFC. Some catch the eye through a powerful strike late in the round to knock an opponent out, others are quick and take everybody by surprise as the fight is over before it really begins.

One of the most infamous UFC wins in recent memory, however, was that of McGregor over Jose Aldo.

Originally, the fight was set to take place at UFC 189 but Aldo had to pull out of the first event with a rib injury.

This meant that both men came into the UFC 194 event carrying a UFC Featherweight Championship with McGregor having won the interim title against Chad Mendes.

The unification bout had plenty of hype behind it. Though, if fans tuned in for a long and cagey affair, they may have been disappointed. In one of the most memorable moments in UFC history, fans were shocked to see the fight end in just 13 seconds.

Conor McGregor's epic 13-second KO of Jose Aldo

The sequence of blows has become iconic to many UFC followers across the world and, if some footage is anything to go by, the Notorious one had it planned all along.

A tweet shared by user @deportemma shows a clip of McGregor practicing in his dressing room next to a clip of the fight itself.

It’s stunning to see just how similar the videos are. Firstly, Conor is positioned in his stance that we saw in the fight as he bounced from one leg to the other.

McGregor is then seen working on his precise left-hand shot that was the beginning of the end for Aldo. Seconds later, the fight was waved off and it all started with the planned shot.

McGregor constantly predicted the outcome of his fights which earned him the name ‘Mystic Mac’. His rise to UFC superstardom was rapid as he combined elite skill with undeniable charisma.

This made him successful in his other ventures too, having created his own brand of whisky. The Irishman has a lot going on and it’s unclear when he will return to the Octagon.

His last two fights came against Dustin Poirier, the latter of which ended in a gruesome leg injury for McGregor.
