What are the rules for a Strap Match?

The Strap Match is known by many different names and has been contested across the years under different variations.

Strap Matches in the WWE see two competitors attached on either end of a strap/restraint to keep one competitor from running away from the other.

The actual strap is a legal object to use in the match, and the contest is usually regarded as a no-disqualification match.

How can you win a strap match?

Historically, there have been two main ways that competitors can win the bout.

The first, which is considered a more classic variation, is where one wrestler has to walk around the ring and touch all four corners in quick succession without interruption.

A more common and modern version of the match, which is what we are likely to see at the WWE Extreme Rules 2022 event, sees a wrestler winning the match via pinfall.
