Kell Brook's coach Dominic Ingle has hinted that the former world champion could make a sensational return to the boxing ring.

The Daily Mail claims the retired British boxer has been 'approached' by several promoters after recently being spotted back in training at the world-famous Ingle Gym in Sheffield.

Conor Benn, Chris Eubank Jr and Liam Smith have all been mentioned as potential opponents, but nothing has come to fruition as of yet.

Having finally ended his bitter rivalry with Amir Khan, Brook has been enjoying spending some time with his family.

However, Brook's trainer Ingle has suggested the 36-year-old could very well fight again in the near future despite previously announcing his retirement.

“There is talk of him fighting again but we’ll just have to wait and see,” he told BoxingScene.com. “He might just be getting bored.

“There’s no incentive for me really for him to fight again, because we had a great night that night [against Khan] and that’s the end of the chapter.

“Even now, they’re talking about this fight… depending on what the conditions are and how he’s training, it might not be attractive to me and if I don’t see anything there and they’re making weight stipulations or circumstances… the circumstances and propositions will dictate whether I want to work with him or not.

"It won’t make a difference to him because he will do what he wants to do anyway, but it’s just whether or not I want to be involved in it.”

Boxing News - Eddie Hearn wants Kell Brook to fight Conor Benn

Nearly has passed since Brook's greatest night and many have been wondering if we'll ever see him fight again.

Earlier this year, Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn revealed that he has been in contact with Brook regarding a potential bout with Benn, saying: “I’ve been talking to Kell Brook and his dad.

“I won’t go into it too much, but we’ve made them a significant offer to fight Conor Benn.

“I think with Kell, if he fights again, he should and would do it sooner rather than later.

“Once he starts enjoying himself and relaxing and the weight goes back on, it becomes more of a mission.

“Right now, he looks like a million dollars, he’d be ready to fight in June.

“But at the same time, I think it’s going to take a ridiculous amount of money to get him back in the ring because he doesn’t really need it.

“I reckon he’s thinking to himself, ‘Well if the money’s crazy, I’ll do it. But if not, we’re happy.

“It’s important that they’re happy and I understand their position. For us, we just tried to say, ‘If you’re ready to go in June, we’ll hold our April 16 fight’.

“But that doesn’t look to be the case. It looks like we’ll progress with April 16 and we’ll carry on the talks with Kell. Hopefully, we can find some middle ground to make the fight in September or October.

“We’d love to make the fight.”
