As England and Germany played out a pulsating game at Wembley, Leah Williamson and Jill Scott were enjoying themselves more than most. Both players were part of the Lionesses team that won Euro 2022 earlier this year, which has catapulted them to legendary status. The England heroes were invited to attend England menâs Nations League fixture against Germany and sported their winners' medals as they watched on. It appeared the two were loving life in their Wembley box and in an interview with Channel Four, they joked about how they were taking advantage of the free food and drink on offer. What did Scott and Williamson say?
Asked if they were âliving the high lifeâ after finally bringing football home in the summer, Williamson said: âItâs the high life but weâre basically just begging for tickets!
âJill wears that [her medal] out and about so that she can get free coffees so she does what she can to live that high life, weâre just jumping on the bandwagon!â
Addressing their experience in a Wembley box for the first time, Scott added: âI never, ever got [to be] in these boxes before so itâs incredible to be up here.â

Both players also spoke about how nice it was to enjoy a game of football at Wembley without feeling the pressure of playing.
âComing out here, itâs quite nice to be on this side with no pressure to be honest, but yeah itâs pretty mental to consider what weâve done and whatâs happened,â Williamson stressed.
Scott added: âYeah there was a lot of dancing out on that pitch and celebrating. I think I stayed out there for about an hour and a half after the game because I just wanted to enjoy every minute of it.âÂ

How did England win Euro 2022?Â
While Englandâs 3-3 draw with Germany on Monday night was a thrilling encounter, it still doesnât compare to the Lionesses' historic triumph against their old foe back in July.Â
Sarina Wiegmanâs side lived up to pre-tournament expectations and successfully held their nerve to become the first England side to win a major tournament since 1966.
Whatâs more, they did so in front of a record European crowd of more than 87,000 people ââ proving once and for all that the appetite for womenâs football is growing and here to stay.
The entire Lionesses side have etched themselves into history and the likes of captain Williamson and Scott will forever be able to show off their medals.
