FIFA 23’s release is just days away, and EA Sports have ramped up the excitement by releasing the ratings for every single player on this year’s game.
This includes a number of female football stars, with teams from the Women’s Super League and Division 1 Féminine added to the franchise for the first time.
The Women’s World Cup is another feature added to FIFA 23, with national teams such as Spain, Germany and the US set to be available.
Now the highest-rated male and female stars have been released, with Alexia Putellas receiving the highest rating of 92, it has been interesting to rank players depending on attributes.
GiveMeSport Women has taken a look at the best finishers on FIFA 23, and the results may be somewhat unexpected.

San Diego Wave striker Alex Morgan takes the number one spot, which may take some football fans by surprise.
The 33-year-old may currently be the top goalscorer in the NWSL, but Morgan is not particularly considered the best finisher in women’s football, let alone football in its entirety.
It would be fair to argue that Ada Hegerberg, Marie-Antoinette Katoto, Sam Kerr or Vivianne Miedema should be the best female finishers on FIFA 23.

Indeed, it is surprising that Miedema only has a rating of 90, given she is the Women’s Super League all-time top goalscorer.
It is less of a surprise that Erling Haaland and Robert Lewandowski are among the highest-rated finishers, with both players prolific for their respective clubs over the past 12 months.
Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo wins the battle with Lionel Messi. He is ranked three points higher for finishing than his arch-rival.

Women’s football on FIFA 23
Women’s teams have featured in the popular franchise since FIFA 16, but only international sides up until this point.
Gamers can currently play as women in FIFA 22’s Pro Clubs mode, and former Arsenal star Alex Scott became the first English-speaking female broadcaster on the game this year.
Speaking to GiveMeSport Women, EA Sports marketing director James Salmon explained why the inclusion of women’s teams on FIFA 23 was so important.

“We’re committed to playing an active role in the growth of women’s football and our hope is that the inclusion of women’s club’s sparks further interest in viewership, match attendance and participation in the grassroots game,” he said.
“There are a number of amazing women’s leagues and tournaments across the world for fans to experience – the WSL and D1F are prime examples.”
Salmon also hinted that women’s football fans had lots to look forward to on the new edition of FIFA.
“The reaction to the introduction of WSL and D1 Arkema has been fantastic, all I can say for now is that we’re looking forward to sharing more exciting updates over the next few months.”
