Nothing is more pressing in the world of boxing news right now than the potential bout between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury.

No one really knows if the two heavyweights will ever get in the ring with each other or not.

Talking of British heavyweights though and here are the top 25 of all time, as per BoxRec.

5. David Haye, 28-4-0 (2002-2018)

Entering the top five now and it gets started with David Haye. Now a commentator and pundit on the sport, Haye when in the ring was a force to be reckoned with.

He may have lost twice to Evertonian Tony Bellew to see out his career, but he overcame the likes of Dereck Chisora and Audley Harrison in his prime.

4. Frank Bruno, 40-5-0 (1982-1996)

Going back in time a bit to Frank Bruno and there are a few question marks around his name. Having lost twice to Mike Tyson and once to Lennox Lewis, it seems as if Bruno hasn’t delivered when it matters. With 40 wins out of 45 to his name though, the man nicknamed True Brit is a true legend regardless.

3. Anthony Joshua, 24-3-0 (2013-2022)

Going back to the duo mentioned in the intro and Anthony Joshua gets the podium started. AJ is going through the toughest patch in his career having lost to Andy Ruiz Jnr and then twice to Oleksandr Usyk.

2. Tyson Fury, 32-0-1 (2008-2022)

Tyson Fury issues final warning to Anthony Joshua over contract negotiations

Tyson Fury has issued a final ultimatum to Anthony Joshua as contract talks have stalled over a proposed heavyweight bout.

The Gypsy King Tyson Fury is in the silver medal spot. His comeback was nothing short of monumental but he has since gone into retirement again.

It remains to be seen whether he will bounce back and fight Joshua but either way, he is cemented in the archives of boxing history.

1. Lennox Lewis, 41-2-1 (1989-2003)

This name has cropped up already here and it is impossible to discuss the British greats without highlighting Lennox Lewis.

It may have been in his twilight years but Lewis beat Mike Tyson twice, as well as overcoming the likes of Frank Bruno and Evander Holyfield earlier on.
