Alas, through it all, they’ve always managed to do business together - and even though Diaz has now left the UFC, they both seem open to the idea of reviving the relationship somewhere down the road.

Earlier this month at UFC 279, in a late twist of fate, Nate Diaz took on Tony Ferguson in the main event of the evening. The pair were both expecting to face other opponents but ultimately wound up battling each other in a fun encounter that lasted just under four rounds.

In the end, Diaz was the one who secured the win via submission to the elation of the live crowd in Las Vegas.

“Congrats. Good luck with everything, man. This is always your f***ing house. If you need anything whatever you need, it’s your house kid,” White said.

Diaz went on to thank him, shake his hand and say they should hang out sometime, at which point Dana agreed and said he hopes he has a good time at his post-fight party.

What’s next for Nate?

Although it’s entirely possible that anotdanaher mixed martial arts fight could be in Nate Diaz’s future, the signs are pointing towards him trying out something new.

He’s already said that he’s going to kickstart his own fight promotion but alongside that, he also wants to be an active competitor in some way, shape or form.

The next step on this journey will be for some kind of announcement to be made and there’s a popular theory going around that his next foe will be none other than Jake Paul

The pair have teased a confrontation in the past but in reality, it all comes down to what kind of performance ‘The Problem Child’ can produce when he collides with Anderson Silva next month.
