Dana White reveals UFC origin story
As of writing, Chandler's opponent has not been made 100% official by Ultimate Fighting Championship, but all signs point to him getting a massive contest against Conor McGregor in 2023.
It was originally believed that UFC President Dana White had 'confirmed' the contest will be taking place, but he refuted that during a press conference in December 2022, saying (via The Sports Rush):
“I never said that ever fu**ing once. This is what happens when you do interviews, and people listen to your interviews. He said ‘So if Conor McGregor came back right now, who would you be looking at as an opponent? I said, ‘Well if he did, if that happened and that scenario played out right now, Chandler would be a fun fight.’ Never fu**ing once did I say we’re doing Conor McGregor vs Chandler. I don’t even know when Conor McGregor is coming back."
So it looks like we'll have to wait for an official confirmation from the company as to when Chandler will be getting back in the cage.

Conor McGregor has been warned that his rivals are 'passing him by' as he waits to return to the UFC
Speaking to MMA Junkie in December 2022, Chandler revealed that he could see the bout happening around July 2023: "Hopefully at T-Mobile Arena here in Vegas in July," he said about a potential fight with McGregor.
"It’s going to be huge. It’s going to be awesome, and I believe it’s going to happen. Things are moving in the right direction."
We will update this page as and when the company makes the next opponent for 'Iron' Mike official, although a fight against McGregor would absolutely be the biggest of his career thus far from a mainstream perspective.
